Forest Fun Summer Program

Holistic Nature Based Learning in East Olympia

​

Come join us for outdoor adventures and place-based education at Fern Gully Forest School where your child can play and make new friends, learn about the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and develop a lifelong connection with nature!

 

We have small class sizes and create a nurturing environment where children can develop the resilience, creativity, confidence, social skills and emotional intelligence needed to thrive in school and life.

 

Children get to enjoy the school garden, mini-farm with small animals to care for and cuddle, and the forest to explore.

We learn through imaginative play, science experiments, creative projects, nature observations, yoga and mindfulness practices, expressive art, singing, dancing, making music, team building games and more!​

TUITION

We believe that life is abundant and there are enough resources to go around for everyone in our community to THRIVE. Because of this, we use a sliding-scale, Three-Tiered Pricing Model that helps those with a little extra to support those with a  financial need.

THREE TIERED PRICING MODEL:

Supported  (Families who are Financially in Need) 

Sustained  (Our Regular Price for Families who are Financially Stable) 

Supporting (Families who are Financially Abundant and able to Pay more to Support Others In Need)​​

MONTHLY REGULAR RATE (9AM-1PM)

2 Days per week: $400 / $450 / $500 

3 Days per week: $550 / $600 / $650 

4 Days per week: $650 / $700 / $750 

5 Days per week: $750/ $800 / $850​

 

REGISTRATION

  • Please contact us with any questions via email at ferngullyschool@gmail.com or phone at (360) 305-0021.

  • Registration fee: $50/$75/$100 (sliding scale) non-refundable fee per child goes towards administrative costs and supplies.

  • Enrollment Deposit: There is a $200 deposit required upon enrollment. Enrollment Deposits are applied to your first month and are refundable only with a 30 day cancellation notice. Cash or check is preferred.

  • You can pay the registration fee and deposit to save your spot online via PayPal at this link.

  • Tuition is due in full by the first day unless special arrangements are made.

  • Download the admission paperwork (at the link below).

    • Please fill out the application electronically, save it to your computer, then email it back to ferngullyschool@gmail.com.

    • The release form can be e-signed, saved and emailed back or printed, signed and brought to the first day.

  • Please contact us if you have any questions or cost is prohibitive. We envision a world where quality education is affordable for all. Low-Income Partial Scholarships may be available. Quantity is limited. Inquire to apply.

 

ADDITONAL DETAILS

  • 6 : 1 child to adult ratio. Teachers are First Aid and CPR certified.

  • For children 3 - 10 years old. Mixed age ranges to encourage leadership and team building skills.

  • Children must be able to use the bathroom with minimal assistance and communicate their needs.

  • Bring a water bottle, snacks, a sack lunch, and a change of clothes. Please do not bring any toys. 

  • Hours are Monday - Friday 9 am - 1pm.

We donate a portion of proceeds to forest conservation with the Community Nature Foundation.
